The sap, or life dynamic, is the sum of the triangle formed by your two roots and your trunk. It is not an eighth key but a general orientation that runs through the whole tree.
Two pieces of information are enough: your birth identity, as registered at birth, and your full date of birth. All your given names count, in order, along with your birth surname (for a married woman, her maiden name). An accent does not change a letter's value (É counts as E), but the spelling must be exact: one letter too many or too few changes the result.
Each letter takes a value from 1 to 9 according to its place in the alphabet: A, J and S are worth 1; B, K and T are worth 2; and so on up to I and R, which are worth 9. You add these values, then reduce the total by adding its digits until you reach a number from 1 to 9.
One exception changes everything: the master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are never reduced. They are written 11/2, 22/4 and 33/6, the master number first and its reduction second, never brought down to 2, 4 or 6. For the date of birth, the method runs three calculations (digit by digit, by whole numbers and by reduced components), because a master number sometimes shows up in only one of them. Take someone born on 3 October 1980.
All three calculations agree on 22, a master number: this life path is written 22/4. A calculator that kept adding would show 4 and miss the master number. On other dates, only one of the three calculations reveals it: that is why the method runs them all.
No website is the best in absolute terms, but four criteria let you judge one. It shows its method: which letters are worth what, how it reduces.
